What's New:
►Greenwood Recycling Site Relocated:
The Johnson County Solid Waste Management District has relocated the Greenwood Recycling site from Sam’s Club Greenwood, to Abundant Grace Church located at 2425 S. Emerson Avenue, Greenwood. The containers will be available for drop-off Monday August 25, 2008 and will be located in the southeast corner of the parking lot.
Abundant Grace Church is located at 2425 South Emerson Avenue (or North CR 100 E. between Tracy Rd. and Worthsville Rd.) From Greenwood Park Mall - follow US 31 South to the intersection with Worthsville Road (look for the 84 Lumber sign) turn left. Follow Worthsville Road for approximately one mile. Turn right onto South Emerson Avenue. Abundant Grace is the second church on the left.
Abundant Grace has graciously allowed the District to place the recycling containers in the south east corner of their parking lot. Please be considerate and respectful of their property and other District sponsored Kwik-Drop locations. These collection sites are for recyclables only.
Residents may recycle #1 and #2 plastics (such as milk jugs, pop bottles, laundry detergent bottles); steel food cans; aluminum beverage cans; clear, brown and green glass bottles and jars; newspaper, catalogs, magazines, phone books, junk mail, cardboard, and chipboard/paperboard. Paper and cardboard must be separated from other recyclables. Flatten all cardboard/paperboard before placing in the green and yellow containers. Steel, aluminum, plastic, and glass may be deposited in the long recycling container. Do not leave plastic garbage bags, small plastic shopping bags, trash, furniture, paint, or other non-acceptable items. All sites are operated under contract with private waste and recyclables haulers.
