Creative Re-Sources

Creative Re-Sources is a reuse “store” that creatively supports the arts, education, and the environment by providing reusable materials to educators and not-for-profit groups within the community. All of the items available at Creative Re-Sources have been donated by area businesses, manufacturers, organizations, and individuals in an effort to keep the materials out of landfills. The Johnson County Solid Waste District operates Creative Re-Sources within the District office.

To become a member of Creative Re-Sources, a $40 annual fee is required, or shoppers can pay $5.00 per month to shop (see brochure for detailed membership information assets/Creative_Resource_brochure.pdf ). The fees go toward offsetting the cost of shipping materials and staff time to stock inventory.

Shopping days are the 2nd Wednesday of the month for annual members and the second Thursday of the month (after the 2nd Wednesday ) for pay-as-you-go shoppers.  Hours are from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. during the school year.  Summer hours, June - August, shop from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.  Call for summer shopping dates.
