Don't Trash Your Christmas Tree! Recycle It!
Residents that live within the city limits of Franklin and Greenwood and those in the town of New Whiteland can simply put thier Christmas trees out at the curb anytime from Dec. 26 until January 12. The trees will be picked up and turned into mulch, instead of tossed in the landfill.
If you live outside of these areas, you can take it to one of the following drop-off locations.
The trees will be turned into mulch. All locations are open Dec. 26 through Jan. 12.
Johnson County Fairgrounds
Center Grove High School (by the tennis courts)
Indian Creek High School (northeast corner of Teachers' parking lot)
• Trees must be free from all lights, tinsel, and stands
• No artificial trees allowed
• Trees decorated with fake snow will not be accepted
• If you bring your tree in a bag, please take the bag with you |
